  • Industry Challenges

Education is under attack with budgets being cut nationwide. At the same time, in order to remain competitive with the world around us, schools are increasingly turning to digital curriculum and network-connected learning applications that demand higher speeds and more bandwidth capacity.

Students, teachers, administrators and staff need to access school resources when their schedules allow – often outside of the normal school workday.

  • Industry Solutions

Cox Business understands the challenges today's educators face. Modern classrooms require a secure, high-speed solution that can scale to accommodate a growing number of online users and sophisticated network-connected applications. We have worked with several public and private school systems, higher education institutions and distance learning programs to:

    • Enhance and simplify network operations
    • Increase availability of applications
    • Improve collaboration between locations
    • Mobilize and connect campuses
    • Teach students Internet safety

Using the latest technologies, Cox Business provides easily scalable network solutions that aren't possible with older technologies. For school districts with multiple sites, one of Cox Business' most valuable offerings is our Metro Ethernet – essentially a Wide Area Network (WAN) that operates with the simplicity of a Local Area Network (LAN). Built according to each customer's needs, this solution allows clients to connect several locations within a metropolitan area, combining the ease of management associated with traditional Ethernet LAN technology with Cox's highly resilient and reliable optical fiber network.
